Sri. Mohammad Mahboob Yakub Maniyar has donated the required land for the law college and Sri. Ramesh Chandra Lahoti a noted industrialist of this area donated a generous sum for starting the law college to perpetuate the memory of his father late Sri. Shankarlal Lahoti, The college was started in the year 1960 and it was named as Seth Shankarlal Lahoti Law College.
The foundation stone was laid by Former President of India late Sri. V.V. Giri.
The inauguration of the present law college building was made by Sri. Neelam Sanjeeva Redddy. The then Hon'ble speaker of Lok Sabha on 24th feb, 1968.
The college started creating legal awareness amongst the people. Today this college is the oldest in the whole of Hyderabad Karnataka area running three years law course and five years law course.
The seed thus was sown began to grow into a huge tree under the eminent principals of this college.
